A major issue has been to what extent the existing buildings can meet the programmatic recommendations of last year's SEB Committee. On January 25, we met at the Downers Grove Meeting House with our consulting historic architect, Michael Lambert, to review his assessment and recommendations for all our buildings. That afternoon after a long discussion we had one of those exhilarating moments. Worship sharing was the format we chose for each of us to describe his/her current personal vision of IYM's site. Out of this worship and the discussion which ensued, we arrived at a wonderful sense of unity on the need for, and the place for, a new building. Our committee minute follows:

"It was the sense of the Meeting that we move forward on a new building to be located on the southern portion of the newly acquired land. This building will be a winterized facility that would meet the needs for year-round usage by Clear Creek Monthly Meeting and other groups, and would include dining hall, kitchen, restrooms, sleeping and meeting spaces."

At our March 15 meeting, held at the IYM Meeting House, our committee worked with our Quaker architect advisor, Chip Rorem, to synthesize our various individual visions of this new building. In the light of the general programmatic considerations proposed by last year's committee, what should the specific attributes of this new structure be? Our recommendations are too extensive to be listed here, but there will be a full report at the Yearly Meeting this summer. Don't miss it!

With respect to the existing Dormitory and the Junior Yearly Meeting buildings, our committee has yet to achieve unity on recommendations. We plan to meet monthly and hope to close in on a clear vision by Yearly Meeting.

As for our present grand old Yearly Meeting House, there are a few remaining issues
