Latest news : food relief programme
Hlekweni facilitates food distribution on behalf of southern Africa Quaker Meetings (C&SAYM) in response to the starvation which now exists particularly in rural areas. Donations to this relief have also come from New Zealand, USA, Ireland and the UK.
Hlekweni would like to integrate this programme with the drip irrigation project. We would focus on schools keen to grow their own food. They can be in production within 3 months.
