Latest news : Hlekweni gets a face-lift
UK Quakers Hazel-Anne Morris and her daughter Blossom gave Hlekweni a face-lift in May-June 2005 giving the centre an Ndebele and Matabeleland flavour.
During their 8 weeks voluntary stint they ran daily art classes for all the children at Samathonga leaving behind an art studio, an enthusiasm for art and a greater awareness amongst students and teachers of what can be done with the natural resources available.
