For the first time, Hlekweni has started to export its expertise in bio-intensive vegetable growing to Botswana. The first course is being run in Francistown, comprising staff of different local and multinational organisations (Lutheran Development Service, SOS Childrens Home etc.)Three drip kits have been sold, and a drip kit plot has been established at Lephoi School for the Blind in Francistown. The second part of the training programme will be carried out in October 2004. Support is provided through previously trained contacts who are working in Francistown. The President of Botswana has already paid a visit to the school!
