Religious Education

Our Religious Education program works to help children understand the Quaker worship experience. We strive to help the children develop the skills so they can access the still small voice inside that can be both a spiritual and moral compass. For children younger than 3, there is nursery care from 9:45 to 12:00. Elementary aged children leave meeting after the first 30 minutes of Worship, and under adult supervision, may go outside to play or play in the lower level. We provide a nourishing snack. Older teens stay in meeting for the full hour most Sundays. At the end of meeting, the Religious Education program for youth begins. A representative of the meeting. Religious Education program will make sure that children find their way to their classroom. On some Sundays, the older youth might leave Meeting for Worship for their special Meeting for Worship starting at 10:30 in the upstairs classroom.
