Current Projects

The Full Gospel Powerhouse Church of God in Christ was burned by arson in August 1996. Rev. and Mrs. Theuophlis Thompson serve this church located in Wichita Falls, Texas. QWI worked with the Full Gospel Powerhouse through most of the summer of 1998 to help the church prepare for housing and feeding volunteers. We used one of the back buildings for dormitory space, installing new electrical service, smoke detectors, etc. In the front building we installed our office, and upgraded the kitchen in order to better feed and clean-up after 20+ volunteers. With the contractors assistance, we built a shower/latrine house adjoining the kitchen and close to the dormitory. In this we installed a new water heater, three shower stalls, two comodes and a sink. For various reasons the church is not ready to begin construction. When they are, they have everything in place to invite volunteers. QWI will make an announcement when this project is ready to continue.
