An independent magazine serving the Religious Society of Friends, we have readership in every yearly meeting in North America and in 42 foreign countries. Our mission is to serve the Quaker community with timely, comprehensive, responsive, and understandable information and reflection on the experience of Friends. We publish essays, book reviews, news, poetry, a Meeting Directory, a lively readers' forum, and more. Guidelines for submissions are posted on our website (www.friendsjournal.org ).

FRIENDS JOURNAL (ISSN 0016-1322) was established in 1955 as the successor to The Friend (1827-1955) and Friends Intelligencer (1844-1955). We are an award-winning member of the Associated Church Press.
