Northampton Preparative Meeting
Minute on Monthly Meeting Status
Approved July 11, 1993
A strong stirring of the Spirit has provided us clarity to
affirm that a distinct community of faith has emerged among
Friends gathering in Northampton. We are therefore led to request
to be identified as a new Monthly Meeting in the Connecticut
Valley Quarter of New England Yearly Meeting. We fully recognize
that the strength of our leading is rooted in our participation
in the life of Mt. Toby Monthly Meeting, and as we request, in
effect, to divide that meeting community, we seek the loving
affirmation of our leading by those Friends who will remain at
Mt. Toby.
