To: Members, Attenders and Guests of 15th Street Monthly Meeting
Subject: Temporary Suspension of In Person Meetings for Worship: On-Line Options
From: Ministry and Worship Committee
March 20, 2020
Dear Friends,
The Ministry and Worship Committee met virtually last night and after
worshipful consideration, sharing of concerns and tender labor we were led to
suspend in person Meetings for Worship at Fifteenth Street Meeting at the
present time due to the Covid-19 Coronavirus Pandemic, until further
notice. This applies to both the regularly scheduled 9:30 am and 11:00 am
Meetings. We will review this decision
periodically.
We encourage
Friends to worship together remotely.
Although we are physically vulnerable at this time, we are spiritually strong.
We will be worshipping from wherever we are at 11:00 am each First
Day (Sunday) until it is safe for us to return to our beautiful Meeting House.
The instructions to join Meeting for Worship remotely are below. All of these paths will lead to us worshiping together.

These are
extraordinary times and require extraordinary measures. We live in the
largest city in the US which has already been profoundly affected by this
pandemic; our location puts us at greater risk.
We deeply regret if this decision causes any one of you to suffer in any way. Please reach out to each other and know that our Meeting is still here for you, it has just changed form for a little while. We take these actions from an abundance of love. If you need any assistance or you need to talk to someone please contact a member of the Pastoral Care Committee [personal contact info removed in this online version].
Prayer and Service will continue as Friends feel Led and Way Opens.
The Shelter for our Homeless Guests remains open, and New York Quarterly
Meeting Trustees are in communication with Mayor De Blasio's office regarding
ways that we can be of service.
Peace be with you, Friends, and let us "Hold our Meeting and each other in the Light” as we hold in the light those beyond our Meeting experiencing immediate and critical impact. Until we meet each other again, and greet/hug one another, we look forward to being with you online.
In Love and
Light,
The Ministry
and Worship Committee,
