The United Nation’s International Day of Peace (IDP) is to be held globally on Friday, September 21st. This year’s United Nation’s theme is 'Non-violence in Our Communities.'

Put the brakes on new trade deals between Europe and ACP countries: The Economic Partnership Agreements (EPA)
With the German Presidency on the horizon, QCEA has signed a letter to German Chancellor Angela Merkel asking her to consider alternatives to the proposed Economic Partnership Agreements with African, Caribbean and Pacific countries, due to come into effect at the end of 2007. Copies were also sent to German Economic Minister Glos and Development Minister Wieczorek-Zeul. Almost 190 organisations across Europe signed the letter.

New briefing papers on Terrorism and reports on Estonian Prison visits now available
As part of QCEA's 'responding to terrorism' project, two new briefing papers are now available. The papers cover the latest EU counter terrorism strategies and efforts to combat radicalisation and recruitment.

As part of QCEA's ongoing project on prison conditions for female inmates across Europe, the latest Estonian prison visit reports are now available.
