Ottawa Prepares for the Treaty Signing on December 3, 1997
Delegates from 100 countries will be descending on Ottawa on December 3, 1997 to sign the International Treaty to Ban Landmines. Among the invited guests are Peter Atwood of the Quaker United Nations Office, Geneva, who will be chairing a discussion during the conference, and CFSC staff person Colin Stuart of Ottawa. Joe Volk and Brigit Moix of the Friends Committee on National Legislation of Washington, D.C., were also listed as registered for the conference.
